Gatekeeping information, knowledge, or traditions is a symptom of white supremacist capitalist imperialist patriarchy, & it’s something we actively reject. Individuals or organizations thinking they can monopolize or maintain exclusive possession or control over resources, skills, or access only reinforces these oppressive systems. We believe in sharing resources in ways that don’t require your presence, time, money, or commitment to us. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel, there’s so much knowledge & information out there that is already freely available to help you!

Zines have a long history as grassroots tools for sharing knowledge, building movements, & spreading ideas outside mainstream media. Born from DIY culture, zines are a vital way to pass along information in accessible, creative, & community-centered ways, ensuring that voices often marginalized or ignored are heard.

This library is here so you can browse, learn, & be inspired at your own pace. If you want to contribute to it, we’re looking for contributions! Whether you’ve made a zine, created community resources, or have favorites you think should be included, send them our way. We know there are gaps to fill & holes to patch, we’re looking to improve this resource together. Please be mindful of piracy—we don’t condone that. These are zines & materials that were given freely online with our same hopes of spreading information. If you feel inspired to create a zine but need support to make it happen, reach out, we’re here to collaborate!

We also want to uplift & support zine creators who sell their work. Purchasing zines directly from creators helps sustain their efforts, compensate their labor, & ensure they can keep producing the art, ideas, & knowledge our communities need. If you come across zine creators selling their work, please support them however possible! A quick search for any subject + ‘zine’ will almost always lead you to something rad!

Check out some of the subjects we’ve already started organizing. We’re open to expanding this list, let’s create it together!

This library is for all of us, so share, create, & contribute however you can!
