211.org - 211 provides free, confidential help for those facing challenges like health issues, financial hardship, & education needs. With a simple call, text, or online request, individuals can access resources for health care, housing, disaster relief, food assistance, employment, mental health support, & more.
Alice Paul House - Alice Paul House has been providing services to victims/survivors of domestic violence; sexual assault; other serious crimes; & juvenile offenders, for more than 40 years. We provide services to all men, women & children regardless of age, sex, ethnic background or sexual orientation. These services are provided at no cost to victims, & are confidential.
The Arc of Indiana County - The Arc of Indiana County supports individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities, advocating for their inclusion in the community. They provide resources, advocacy, & parental support, focusing on special education, disability awareness, & ensuring equal rights. Their mission is to break barriers & create partnerships for positive, inclusive solutions in education, independence, & quality services from school-age to adulthood.
Brigid House LLC - This transitional recovery housing program supports women & children at all stages of recovery from substance abuse. Led by a Certified Recovery Specialist & Certified Family Recovery Specialist in long-term recovery, the program embraces multiple pathways, including Medication Assisted Treatment. Its vision is to provide a safe, stable environment for mothers reuniting with children or needing sober housing, aiming to help them become independent & contributing community members.
Center for Community Growth - The Center for Community Growth in Indiana, PA, fosters justice through education & outreach, aiming to create an equitable society. Actively engaging people of diverse philosophies, faiths, & backgrounds, The Center works to form a more inclusive, sustainable community. They focus on issues like social, racial, & environmental justice to empower local residents.
Chevy Chase Community Center - The Chevy Chase Community Center’s mission is to engage the community to empower the disadvantaged population of Indiana County & the surrounding rural communities with love, nutrition, education, involvement, & to provide a forum for community action, improvement & development.

Community Guidance Center - The Community Guidance Center provides trauma-informed mental health care to Indiana, DuBois, Punxsutawney, Clearfield, Northern Cambria, Clarion, & Greensburg, PA. A nonprofit organization, they offer a wide range of therapeutic & rehabilitative services, including mental health, drug & alcohol treatment, intellectual disability support, & early intervention services, empowering individuals & families to improve their quality of life. 

Family Promise - Their mission is to serve homeless families by providing shelter, education, & support, helping them regain housing, independence, & dignity. Powered by Indiana County’s faith community, Family Promise offers a Life-Skills program, enabling families to become self-sufficient community members.

Hopeful Hearts - Hopeful Hearts offers a safe, caring space for grieving children & families to share their feelings & memories of a loved one who has died. Children participate in age-based activities led by trained volunteers, while parents & guardians meet in small groups to support one another in helping their children cope.

Homer-Center Parks & Recreation - Homer-Center Parks & Recreation provides a variety of outdoor activities & educational opportunities for the Homer-Center area community. Their mission focuses on enriching lives through recreation, community engagement, & creative youth education programs. They maintain local parks, organize events, & run the Homer City Pool to promote an active, healthy lifestyle for all.

Homer Center Public Library - The Homer Center Public Library enriches the community by promoting reading, education, & providing resources for success. Established in 2008, it offers free library membership, reading programs, & events like a summer reading program.
Homer City Community Garden & Learning Center - The Homer City Community Garden & Learning Center's mission is to create a welcoming space where people of all ages & backgrounds can connect with nature, learn gardening-related skills, & promote sustainable living.

Indiana County Community Action Program (ICCAP) - Their mission is to serve as the community agency to mobilize services & resources needed to empower individuals to progress toward self-sufficiency. ICCAP offers programs like food assistance, housing support, & transportation, aiming to reduce poverty in Indiana County, PA through sustainable community-driven solutions.

Indiana County NAACP - The Indiana County NAACP works to improve the political, educational, social, & economic status of minority groups, striving to eliminate racial prejudice & discrimination. Through advocacy, education, & community awareness, they focus on creating positive change for people of color, women, & the disenfranchised.

Indiana County Recovery Center - The Indiana County Recovery Center (ICRC) is a faith-based 501(c)3 non-profit, Recovery Community Organization anchored in the heart of downtown Indiana, PA. ICRC provides free Recovery Support Services to our community.

Indiana County Thrives - Indiana County Thrives is a community-led initiative focused on economic development, workforce growth, & sustainable opportunities in coal-impacted communities. By fostering innovation, supporting new energy economy jobs, & engaging with technical schools, the initiative helps create thriving places to live, work, & play. It promotes collaboration, entrepreneurship, & reducing energy burdens.

IUP's Crimson Closet - IUP's Crimson Closet offers free business & casual clothing to students, helping them prepare for interviews, internships, & other professional opportunities. They are currently seeking donations of businesswear & casual attire in any size or gender. Donations help students build confidence & present themselves professionally.

IUP Food Pantry & Help Center - IUP's Food Pantry provides free food & personal care items to students in need, aiming to address food insecurity on campus. Open to all current students, the pantry supports their well-being & academic success by ensuring access to essential resources.

My Best Friend's Closet - The Saltsburg United Methodist Church offers a free clothing ministry providing clothing for adults, teenagers, & children that is open to all.

New Story Schools - New Story School helps children and their families write new stories of hope & success while facing serious & complex challenges. Specializing in education for children with autism spectrum disorders & behavioral diagnoses, they offer services like Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), counseling, speech, occupational, & physical therapy, tailored to each student's IEP goals.

NewsTalk WCCS FM 101.1 & AM 1160 - NewsTalk WCCS FM 101.1 & AM 1160 provides news, talk shows, & local coverage to the Indiana County, PA area. Featuring a mix of national & local programming, WCCS delivers updates on community events, politics, weather, & sports. It's a go-to source for both news & entertainment in the region.

Northern Appalachian Folk Festival Inc. - NAFF is dedicated to preserving & promoting the cultural heritage of Northern Appalachia through music, art, folkways, & foodways. By hosting events like the annual Folk Festival & the Folk School, NAFF enriches the region’s cultural environment, supports the economy, creates jobs, & strengthens community ties.

The Open Door Of Indiana, PA - The Open Door is a licensed nonprofit behavioral health organization serving Armstrong & Indiana counties. They provide services for substance use, gambling concerns, court-related programs, & crisis intervention. Founded in 1972, they offer comprehensive outpatient treatment, crisis intervention, & DUI evaluation, with a staff of trained professionals. Poeming Through the Dark - Poeming Through the Dark is an inclusive space meant for cultivating connection & community through poetry & self-expression. Based in Western Pennsylvania, this project & our events aim to let words light a path toward something new, bringing together passionate poets & curious listeners to create an illuminating open-mic experience. Join us, & bring your words or someone else’s words, bring your friends, & revel in the power of art & joy with hopes of creating a future through the dark.

The Rep Room - The Rep Room was founded to ensure that no one faces bullying from family, peers, or the community because of their identity. Recognizing that much of the discrimination faced by the LGBTQIA+ community stems from a lack of education & acceptance, the organization is committed to providing essential support for those navigating life as their authentic selves, especially those who have already endured trauma. The organization aims to foster understanding & offer a safe space for individuals on their journey toward acceptance.
Tomorrow Together - INDIANA 2030: Together Tomorrow is a comprehensive plan designed to guide Indiana Borough’s growth & development through strategic planning in areas like land use, sustainability, & infrastructure. The plan seeks to balance community needs while fostering economic, environmental, & social improvements. It encourages collaboration to create a vibrant, future-focused community.

United Way of Indiana County - The United Way of Indiana County has been serving the community for 90 years, evolving from providing basic necessities to mobilizing resources that strengthen lives. Their mission is to support individuals, families, & children by promoting health, education, & financial stability. They work to ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
